“After much deliberation, our ownership group has made the very difficult decision to close the doors of our flagship Worthington location, effective immediately. Gesner’s uncle was John Northrop, the inventor of the “Flying Wing” airplane, a prototype that never made its way to production but still made waves for its design, which looked like one big wing. Little did Northrop know that his 1940s idea isn’t too far off from where we are now, with similarities between his sketches and the new, fuel-efficient “Flying-V” jet. Based on the form of a bird, the architectural gem was built by Gesner in the 1970s for Mike Hynes, a lumber mill owner who reportedly wanted the home to showcase his company’s wood. Gesner fulfilled Hynes’ vision, as the hilltop perch employs a structural system of wood poles and features living spaces loaded with lumber. Another of the architect’s most notable works, however, just surfaced for sale across the city in the Hollywood Hills, where the Flying Wing house is up for grabs at $8 million.

The movie's subplots are divided between Daniel the real estate agent trying -- and failing -- to get anyone to seriously consider the house and Lawrence befriending two children at the hospital. As much fun as kids will have with the slapstick, Home Alone-like humor of the pets outsmarting the selfish nephew, parents will appreciate the scenes between Lawrence and his two new friends, themselves bored patients looking to make a new friend. There's something remarkably touching about inter-generational friendships, whether it's Dumbledore and Harry, Hugo and Georges, or Carl and Russell. Thunder and the House of Magic may not be quite as unforgettable as Harry Potter, Hugo, or Up, but it's still an enchanting little film. This is one of those surprisingly entertaining adventures that isn't produced by one of the major animation studios. It's rare to find a lower-budget animated film that's got such a strong story, theatrical-caliber animation, and valuable messages.

Unsure what to do, he winds up at an old, supposedly haunted mansion that's actually the home of a kindly retired magician, Lawrence (Doug Stone), who lives with his pets and a host of whimsical toys that don't speak but do move. Although the elder magician's rabbit, Jack (George Babbit), and mouse, Maggie (Shanelle Gray), want the cat to leave, Lawrence decides to add him to the family and names him Thunder (Murray Blue). When Lawrence is hurt after a bicycle accident, his greedy nephew (Grant George), a real estate agent, decides to sell the mansion while his uncle is hospitalized. It's up to Thunder to convince Lawrence's crew of resident friends to band together and scare potential buyers off the property.
Thunder returns home and the inhabitants of the house have meanwhile driven two more buyers away believing the house to be haunted. Later, Thunder visits Lawrence at the hospital and is pleased to discovers Lawrence never blamed him after all.
Before Jack can throw him out again, Lawrence wakes up and picks up the kitten and decides to adopt him, naming him Thunder (after his fear of lightning). The lobby bar still holds the former residence’s original wooden staircase, and behind the bar are old cellophane advertising slides from bygone movie houses. The Castle even ages its own old fashioneds in branded whiskey barrels kept behind the bar. A woman opens her car's door and throws a toy on the sidewalk so that her cat chases after the toy. The tabby ginger cat, who seems still kittenish, realising that he has been abandoned by his owner, looks for a refuge. A tiny chihuahua attempts to befriend him but is quickly dragged off by his leash.
We took advantage of Queens week and gave this awesome restaurant a try.Everyone was very friendly, especially the owner and our server who was also a great singer! All of the meats & the shrimp were seasoned very well. Im thrilled I had an opportunity to try this place and Ill definitely be back to enjoy an all you can eat feast! That made for a long time not to have anything considering that we had just made it to the original gate and we had no time to stop to get food or a drink. Then we didn't want to leave the gate to get food because we wouldn't know how much longer the delay would be.
